I see way to many power HBs with 120+ strength and maybe some speed but no agility.

Here's an example of a power HB with no more than 90 strength but good agility and speed. You can see from this run that he get's power thru's and spins which make a for a deadly combination:

His build is also open. I was his OC and I was always amazed at his success.

I'm surprised that most power HBs have not caught on.

I agree. Strength is not what breaks tackles - the SA's accomplish that. All the power back needs is enough strength to trigger the SA's in question. No more than 90 is fine. Also, the role of a power back is becoming more diverse as OC's are expecting them to be faster.

Slow powerbacks have not been very good since like season 8.

I don't like powerbacks in Nat'l Pro unless they've got 130 speed.

the problem with slow power backs is that it's too easy to tag them and jam up the middle if they don;t have the speed to avoid some tacklers

Yup. They break a tackle or three, then because they don't have the speed to outrun any single defender on the field, they're tackled right away.

The slow guys are really good at getting 1-3 yards right up the middle generally, but they simply can't break long ones against good teams. When even the D-Line and every MLB has more speed, you ain't breaking any big gainers.

90 strength is overkill.

Not a new generation Powerback. You can get some pretty sick numbers in strength+carrying, and still get speed high enough as a minor.

New generation powerback? You mean combo backs? I've been building speed/power hbs for a dozen or more seasons now.

The powerback archetype is worthless. It's inferior to the combo archetype in basically every way.
