EQ would go on spd/agi, or spd/agi/str, 120/100/100. How many ticks less would take an unblocked 130 spd LB to get to the QB? Not many I hope.

Of course he would just play 3rd down and pass rush packages. Those 15 SP would go on Tunnel Vision as an extra SA. AEQ is Break Block %, Tunnel Vision and First Step. Not so sure on the last one.

Thoughts?

68-77 Str should be your endgame...similar for Tkl.

Needs more Stamina, and capped Conf.

No EQ in Str, maybe 1 piece in Agi.

I would think less str and more vis. Vis will help you get around those blockers targetting you. Generally if you get tagged on a block, you missed out on the pass rush and if it's a rush, they already went by you.

I was wondering the same thing. That diving sacks crap always sounded like bortscience to me... Tackling is the only attribute I've found to really increase tackling radius.

I almost considered tacking bortscience as my minor.

Compare this

with this
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1597100&pbp_id=7665386

and I've seen better examples too I just don't wanna take the time to find em. I had a sack where both DE's had broken their blocks and my DE was further away from the QB but still got the sack.

61 Jumping 10 Diving tackle.

The problem with those examples is I have dots with 15 jumping, 88 tackling and 1 point in diving tackle who can tackle from that far.

So I guess if we both still seem to have the same tackling radius despite us taking different build routes we still achieved the same results. I guess we need to figure out if tackling, jumping, or diving tackle Sa increases the radius more than the other attributes. Maybe this is something for the next Q&A session.

130 speed is too low for your level in my opinion.... I have a level 50 backer with 134 speed who is doing at well at that level.... but I don't think that would cut it at higher levels....

32 Tackling? Wow.... What kind of production are you getting with that? I've always considered tackling to be a top 3 attribute for a speed rushing LB.... but to each his own I guess....

Yeah it would be a great question for a Q&A. I'd take a stab that the diving tackle dynamic works kind of like the jumping/catching dynamic for interceptions. I'd would also venture to say that Bort has a limit on how big your tackling radius can be. What I was trying to do with my DE is get diving tackles off blocks on runners.... but he turned out too slow to catch speedy runners, and blowing up screens with swat balls, but once again screen passes usually happen too fast to blow thru the line and swat the ball.

He's still a decent DE though... I just got two sacks against an undefeated team in his pro league . Also show me some sacks where you tackle from that far way with little to no jumping and/or diving tackle... Just cause I'm curious is my DE has any slight advantage in that area.

My SS with 87 tackling and 39 jumping 1 point in DT.
(There are more replays, but I stopped looking for longer sacks.)

I have a possible theory for why we may be seeing similar results from high jumping and high tackling.
It could be that we get an attempt tackle/sack roll once we hit the edge of our possible radius. We may continue rolling until we get favorable enough conditions to attempt a tackle. Higher jumping may increase the radius from which we start rolling. Higher tackling may give us better results for our roll for conditions. So a dot with higher tackling may attempt tackles at the edge of their radius, while a dot with higher jumping may get a larger radius from which to start attempting to roll.

Anyways, that's just my guess, we'll see what kind of bortscience we receive from the Q&A session.

Tunnel Vision?
There's gotta be a better bonus SA.

40+ jumping is kinda a minimum for a LB. I'd just keep an eye on missed diving tackles and pump up jumping as needed. you don't need diving tackle.

if you're a pure blitzing LB you need only 4 things...
1) Tons of speed 140+ (all EQ here)
2) 75+ agility
3) 8+ first step
4) a good DC who can use you properly

nothing else matters except perhaps enough stamina to keep running at a high speed.
