8 games in, here's what it looks like:

1. Rhode Island Red Wolves (8-0) - Hard to argue against 8-0. Has had some tough games against TCU and Cincy but has also shined against other playoff contenders. Schedule is light until the last five games when they play the 3 out of the top 5 teams.

2. South Georgia Growl (7-1) - My preseasons rankings had these guys high for a simple reason - they are very very good, and always have been. Teams sleep on these guys and I have no idea why. It would not shock me to see them with the top seed in the playoffs.

3. Cincinnati Shockers (7-1) - These guys are serious about a return trip to WL. They are playing at a very high level right now and make a very dangerous opponent for anybody.

4. Monmouth Evil Monkeys (6-2) - As is typical, they start slow and pick up steam as the chemistry rebuilds. They are playing very well and their only two loses were to very good teams. They have a ton of weapons and it's hard to stop all of them.

5. Car Ramrod (7-1) - Growl really exposed these guys. I'd like to see the MEM game re-scrimmed I bet the outcome would be different. They face a murderer's row of opponents in a few weeks that will really show what this team is about.

6. TCU Super Frogs (5-3) - These guys both impress and then make you scratch your head. Surprising loss to SF and a closer that it should have been game vs. BB. Couple that with the fact they are declining, and that makes them drop a bit. However, this is NOT a team you want to face in the playoffs.

7. SF Webzoners (3-5) - I like this team. I said early in the year that JP as OC would make them dangerous, and I was right. This might be high for a 3-5 team, but they've beaten TCU, hung with SGG and played Car and NYGP very tight. The back end of their schedule could mean a 9-7 season.

8. Bucking Broncos (4-4) - Very disappointed in this team. They won 13 games last season and seem to have taken a step back. But they play competitive ball and have a chance to surprise Cincy or RI the next two weeks.

9. Doomsday Sin (4-4) - They keep saying they are on the verge and its starting to show. Still likely have key players with boosts or leveling and L72 EQ to come. If they can make the playoffs, watch out.

10. LUElinks LUEshis (4-4) - I rank them above CCIA despite the loss because they have a bit more potential in them. Either way, they are likely not going to make the playoffs this season given the back end of their schedule.

11. CCIA (3-5) - Disappointing season for Sly I'm sure. The TCU game seems like an aberration at this point. However, they likely can get 5-6 wins on the back end of their schedule so the playoffs is not out of the question.

12. Covington Black Knights (3-5) - Struggling more than I thought they would. But they have some winable games coming up so they may have some fight in them yet.

Everyone else is totally out of it so better luck next season.

Commence the hate.

Thanks.

You can attribute TCU's randomness to my doing.

Covington is struggling and I have to get us on track to play consist good dot ball. We do have some winnable games and they are must win games if we are going to have a chance. Thanks for the write up.
