VA - Stone Wall
SA - Break Through
SA - Wall

I have two DT's and am not sure if its worth investing in the VA stone wall, and AEQ in either Break through or wall. Thoughts?

Stone wall - pretty useless, since DTs rarely get pancaked or pushed back anyway
Break through - good for the NT since he's often double-teamed. it's basically a bonus to your break block score in that situation.
Wall - It's OK but not incredible. I do think it works though.

Break through is worth it for the NT if your DC sets you up vs the C and G. Wall is kind of required to put points into break through, but just that. Stone wall is not necessary nowadays.

Well, I have a DT who is probably going to have to invest heavily in Breakthrough; he's almost always double and tripple teamed. I don't get it...But he is..

I can attest to the fact that break through is a very, very useful SA for DT's.

Wow...I disagree with that statement pretty strongly. Seems to me that Shed Block suffered a stealth nerf a few seasons ago and is pretty anemic these days.

I would say:

1) Wall
2) Breakthrough
3) First Step, Diving tackle or Shed Block

I haven't found much use for Stonewall at DT.

IMO it depends on how much speed the DT has

I'd probably say for some builds (140+/100+/80+)

1) First Step
2)Break Through
3)Shed Block
4)Wall

for others (145+/100+/72-79)
1) Break Through
2) First Step
3) Shed Block
4) Wall

for others (150+/100+/72>
1) Break Through
2) Wall
3) First Step
4) Shed Block

I think the shed block took the hit due to the heavyweight hit. Aside from the attributes, if you are going to break a block, no matter what the shed block will take its effect. Who knows how often double team blocks are engaged, able to be broken, then disengaged. This devalues break thru for me.

Just as heavyweight took a nerf you have to have it. So how could you forfeit the shed also. You will be engaged singly or on a double where the SA will activate regardless.

Where I am thinking of experimenting is Power rush with First Step and Evasive rush with high Break through. Once I revcake the blocker on my Power guy I'm hoping the FS will help turn those hurries into sacks. (Although I already ran 35% BB +12 First step on 2 pieces of AEQ with guys having lesser attributes ages ago). The thinking on the Evasive Break Thru guy is that he attracts so many blockers it will give him a huge advantage of using break thru as often as possible. With 95 nat str and agility on level 58 guys I should get some telling feedback.
