All I am saying is, I would not force people into a league that they do not want in. GLB'ers say lolPeeWee but to be hypocritical we as Pee Wee say lolCopper. So is being in and winning in Copper really any bragging rights. No one is going to run into the Silver bragging about going 16-0 and 4-0 in Copper when all they had was 4 human teams in Copper and 3 of them was in the other Conference. I mean really, I used Copper to work on the A.I. and not using Copper in wining Gold. Which I think that a lot of Copper owners try that. Than when they move to Silver that is where the fun begins and if they make it to Gold, that is where the head aches begin.
What I am getting at is that it waters down silver to have cpu teams in it, but have active game planning owners in copper. Few silver leagues are so stacked that a new owner cannot compete if they are there from day 1. I am in a silver league right now that has 4 cpu owned teams, a few human owned teams with all/mostly cpu players and even an Iron Man team that probably wont compete well against non Iron teams. Any new owner who is truly interested in learning the AI can still compete in my league, I can promise you that. They might even make the play-offs if they are smart enough to figure out the AI before mid-season.
What do you really learn playing against 25 cpu teams and a couple others that usually have 1 star offensive player that someone is trying to earn an MVP trophy for? You could probably use cpu players with basic tactics and make a conference title game in copper. You cannot learn what works against real competition unless you play that real competition.
And to repeat my point, in the format I suggested you would have been able to buy a copper team in week 5. The difference would have been that all the silver league would have been filled by humans. I see that you've been around for over two years, but why do you expect to be able to compete with out-leveled dots 9 games behind everyone else and with no OAI experience? To me that makes as much sense as giving all the kids a trophy at the end of the season even if their team was terrible, or making sure all the games end in a tie so no ones feelings are hurt.
