I think I got it... Homeless people participate in paid taste tests and also donate blood for money. Especially in Europe.

Don't knock selling bodily fluids for cash. If you're in college I highly recommend selling Plasma. Can generate about $50 a week (2 sessions) and as long as you don't have a problem with needles or being stuck, it's generally worth the effort. I knew several guys my wife went to college with who did this and were able to use that to fund their extra curricular activities, like concerts and video games.
