Could be many things . My guess would be:

Strength
Jumping
Vision

In that order , but might also be a good idea to close the gap between speed and agility .

I'm having the same issue. When I am up against a CB that is lvl 18+ (one level less than me) I am averaging 7 pass deflections against me. my stats are as follows
Strength: 17.25
Blocking: 11.88
Speed: 52.4
Agility: 31.96
Jumping: 24.31
Catching: 39.67
Stamina: 36.04(6 tied into my custom Gear)
Carrying: 25
Vision: 26.26
Confidence: 23.81
p-3/3/2/2/2
s-2/2/1/1/0

From watching the replays I can get open but the Defensive back close on me before the ball gets to me and deflect it. I am day training my jumping atm and plan to put my next 5 sa into jumping and vision.

I was also wondering is it a case of once I have one PD that my confidence comes into play and that effects me or not.

Crag I have the same problem , seems to be open but the CB somehow gets in there and gets the PD .

I've tried training strength a little , didn't seem to have great effect .

Now I'm trying to get my jumping up , hoping that's the trick .

I asked about this in another thread. Still not sure myself. Were there this many PD last season? I have looked at a few CBs and a few already almost have as many PDs this season as last.

Vision/Speed/Agility as well as route run will help you gain some distance so that passes are harder to deflect. Catching/Jumping as well as sticky hands will help you reel it in before a CB gets to it. On top of that, if the QB invests in tight spiral it will help.

So basically I'm going to be day training my str and jumping for the rest of the season I guess. Keep using my SP on the others and maybe a couple more into sticky hands and route running, I really didn't want to do more SA for a bit but the way CB's are in my league I might have to.

Simple answer. You guys are all Receivers and CATCHING is not your highest skill. So your nice a quick running your routes, but when you have a Level 21 CB going for the ball against a Level 21 WR, the guy with 40 catching will almost never win.

That's pretty funny. I'm guessing that you don't practice what you preach. In your game against the Drillers, 8 passes that were directed toward your WR were deflected and only 2 of them were completed.

why has no one brought this post to the original posters attention...a respected MOD basically just gave him the answer...

i dont think strength has as big a difference as people make it to be...at most strength should be 30, but i say 25 is plenty...how many CBs have more then 30 strength.

I think vision is the most under-rated skill for WR...
