Warrior General Games

This is the kind of game that makes GLB worth while for me. I remember having an eye on Stockholm before they even got into our AAA back in Season 11. I recognized that this was a team with the desire and ability to be a long-term success in terms of both on-field results and as a franchise in general. Once they made it up to our league I looked forward to the chance to measure GCMM against one of the best that the "new breed" had to offer. As they grew over the seasons and became more and more competitive we increasingly looked forward to the challenge they presented each and every season. The early games belonged to GCMM but for the past 3 seasons Stockholm has shown a commanding advantage in the series. While the overall series is tied the Black Death certainly hold the upper-hand in terms of momentum coming into tonight's game. This season is proving no different than previous ones in that tonight is going to be both a serious challenge for our squad and will also serve as an opportunity for GCMM to make a statement to the rest of the league. I couldn't ask for a better lead up to a regular season game and I wanted to start this thread to give thanks and much respect to one of the teams and organizations that keeps us at GCMM interested in GLB. I applaud your skill, class and work ethic. I wish you well tonight and I hope there are no "fluky sim moments" to make you wonder "what if" when GCMM brings home the victory.

I'm a relatively newer addition to the Black Death (having roots with the Barossa Grapestompers) and really like the way the organization is run. Lots of great agents.

I can't really say we're rolling into tonight's match with momentum. If anything, we are a bit stunned at the last game's results and are looking for answers. Hopefully tonight we will find a few.

Last week was a tough, unexpected loss for you guys but I have a feeling we will see a better product tonight. When I was talking about momentum I was really referring to the fact that Stockholm has won the last three matchups so you guys have the momentum in the series for sure.

That sure brought back some nostalgia. I always look forward to playing GCMM. I just wish that Bort would let us have private leagues. It would be nice to play the same teams season after season.

It's easy to make a private league really. Start a private forum, get all the owners and agents in there to liven things up. set a schedule, play the games and once the games are played, set up a playoff style tourney using private scrims for the sims. You should get a commissioner who will have access to each team so they can view and verify the game results and they act as the forum mod by updating the results thread.
