my guy is currently averaging 54.4 yards, with nearly 100 punts.

54's about the highest I've seen. You should try to get him into WL or at least a top pro team to see what he can really do when he doesn't punt 150 times a season from deep in his own team's end of the field all the time. See how good he is at those coffin corners.
