Not the worst attempt by any means, but I would find it wisest if you focused on taking one primary attribute to the 81-cap or the 83-cap before focusing on the next one. I've heard some say that first attribute should be speed, some have said strength, and I've seen both efforts work. Contrary to the belief of some that frequent this forum, there is more than 1 single way to build an effective dot.

Personally, I'd probably retire him and start anew.

Better to create on Day 40/41 anyway, so you might as well retire him and start fresh. For the first season just focus on one attribute, at least until it's up in the high 70s if not low 80s. If you want to build a power back then you can go strength or carrying, whereas you can make other choices with different archetypes. Just make sure that whatever you choose is a major in your archetype.

I just wanted to add a little more.
For example, here's my power HB: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2223756

I want him to be a between-the-tackles bruiser, someone whose number I can call without hesitation in short-yardage situations. I started by taking his strength up to the 7th cap, and I'm now pushing his speed upward, and am beyond the 1st cap at this time. Multi-training agility, carrying, stamina, and vision. Same EQ and SA distribution as your guy, too.

His stats aren't nearly as gaudy as my MVP elusive HB on the same squad, but here's a Season 19 stat I'm proud of: 349 carries, 1 TFL.

Do you know that carrying helps break tackles as much as strength (not counting strength's effect on Power Through)? If you're going to make that much of an investment in strength, then I think you should have made carrying your second priority in order to maximize tackle breaking ability. I'm all for speed on tackle breakers, but going that hard on strength and then going speed before carrying is not the most efficient way to build.
