I'll end up with 66 VXp so Im thinking:

Bull Rusher - 15
Pocket Crusher - 15
Streaky 15
Pass Rusher 10
Workout Warrior 10
Overtime Killer 1

Thoughts?

I still don't understand the love for Pocket Crusher, especially on a containment DE. If the goal is to stop the run my set up would be:
15 Bull Rusher
15 Heavy Weight
15 Streaky
10 Power Tackler (great for TFLs in the back field)
10 Workout Warrior

Good point. My DLine players all play balanced Tackle and have Make Tackle % AEQ. Really like the Power Tackler VA run the stuffing builds.

we have no idea what the make tackle difference is between Balanced and Wrap Up settings so I have worried that

Balanced tackling + Power tackler VA = Wrap up tackling

were the same thing. In which case you might as well just play on wrap up and spend the VA points elsewhere. especially when there are so many good VAs for DEs.

I see the basic premise of what you're saying, but you have to remember that Balanced tackling could stop your defender from getting dragged, cause fumbles and such.

That is if you are saying the Power Tackler VA hinders Balanced Tackling back to Wrap up tackle levels on chance to make tackle roll.

it only works if you are on Balanced (or Power) tackling setting.

we have no idea what the tackling% difference is between Wrap-Up and Balanced.. but it could cancel out the Make Tackle% you get from Power Tackler. For 15 VA I just think it's too risky- you could very well just break even for tackles behind LoS, be a worse tackler beyond the LoS, just for some FF%.

IMO a Containment DE should be built for making TFLs making the Power Tackler VA a requirement.

Had streaky @15 for DE last season and I think it killed his production in 15 of 16 games. I will reset this VA season 20 for sure.

containment DE's IMO should have 70+ tackling and be able to at least run on balanced, mine will be running on 85 and playing on power tackling

I have 69 tackling on my containment DE and forced 4 fumbles on sacks while playing on power tackling. But he did miss 3 tackles
