YOU WERE WARNED!!

Cypriot just demoted from the WL... nobody should be overlooking them, tbh

Just when OPL sends up some "Silent Assassins" to the WL some more return as the Cypriot Freedom, the only remaining undefeated team, nonchalantly snag the #1 ranking in dominating fashion by receiving 17 of a possible 18 first place votes. This team is all business with little talk. Its even possible some may have missed that they played in the WL last season (one team still maybe sleeping on them) with preseason chatter mostly involving teams like Syracuse, Algoma, EEA, Buda and a couple others. Having made easy work of the Death Dealers and the Devils, it would appear only Buda and Algoma stand in their way of a perfect regular season.

As for the rest of the league... Sumatra continues to drop, falling out of the top 10 for the first time this season. Replacing them are the Goal Line Mafia coming off a big win over Syracuse. On the opposite end, the Tonga Titans, following a string of wins including a big upset win of the Vipers, jump 7 spots from a team that appeared to just be avoiding relegation to a team with a shot at the playoffs. Dont count them out just yet.

Well, its still only midseason and lots of question loom... who is going to claim the final playoff spot in Alpha out of Swarm, Bangaroos and Michelin Men... Is a one point, game 1, cross-conference win over the Michelin Men going to be the deciding factor for the Vipers playoff ticket... which coach(s) on Addict Nation is/are in the Hot Seat and in jeopardy of being canned after a disappointing 6-3 start... will OPL destroy EEPL for the Orwell Cup... so many questions and still plenty of season left... now on to the rankings!!

Eighteen teams participated this week.
() denotes first places votes

I awarded a first place vote with 32 points, 2nd with 31, and so on down the line. In the event of a tie an average of the scores is awarded (ie. tie for 2nd between two teams results in a 30.5 for both).

Thanks again to all those who voted this week!!!

Meh... the close vote (519 to 515) was pretty reflective of how evenly matched those two teams are. 'Cuse won the RNG today. As far as I am concerned the only change that game would cause is Cuse moving to 3 and EEA dropping to 4 and I would easily support anyone that would still rank EEA ahead of them too.

See, I know the reason why Cuse beat EEA, the reason is in my sig...

God Is Great - and EEA doesn't have God on their side

I ranked Banzai ahead of someone who beat us...

I find it interesting that so many people ranked Death Dealers so low, considering they beat Buda.

Well death dealers have plenty of time to convince others different. I guess some think of it more as an upset then a good victory

we're playing a bit better since then as we learn the new teams here ... Buda had the lead with less than a minute to go. still - i'm not looking forward to playing them again when the time comes. very very tough team in this sim

The Death Dealer win over Buda was impressive but definitely considered an upset.

The 'Cuse game was a good one but a fumble in overtime (first fumble of the season) is a killer.
