The team he was on was gutted and is looking for a new home. Experienced and very active owner.

I wanted to stay but I never got an answer when I asked if I would be resigned. Eventually I just asked for a release when we hit the off season and I had a day 1 contract.

I am happy to stay on as a GM and help the team however if that is wanted.
