Two exciting weeks left to go!
1. Mice. Still on track for #1 after the expected win over Detroit. Still the likely #2 if we lose to Humboldt and cause the three-way tie.
2. Hounds. Um, that was the previous #4 seed you guys just beat by over 100...if you could get these beatdowns out of your system before the playoffs, the rest of us would sure appreciate it. The Hounds can get the #1 slot if the Mice lose to the Hornets and Nashville retains their significant points allowed advantage.
3. Hornets. Tennessee took them into the 4th quarter in a high-scoring, *very* competitive game. You could tell Air and We_Rule were doing everything they could to steal that one, but Jeb and Night came through with a big win. And now, the Mice! The Hornet's main need to win this is not to move up (which can't happen barring a major upset somewhere else), but rather to move the Mice down, who they probably feel they match up better against than Nashville.
4. San Diego. Very strong win vs Pittsburgh keeps on the road to 10-6. They need ATKM to drop their DC or Tennessee game to challenge for the #4 slot, but since they don't have the tiebreaker, they'd need a 3-way tie with Tennessee or the Fiesta.
5. ATKM. Took the expected loss from Nashville and now have 2 very tough games...but if they win them both, they should reclaim the #4 seed. But that's a big *if*, as DC and Tennessee are both very hungry for wins to stay in the playoff picture.
6. Fiesta. A great win in a defensive battle vs DC keeps them right in the thick of things; fantastic game by Drew Brees. Another big game right up vs Tennessee; a win there puts them likely at 10-6m assuming they can't pull the upset against Humboldt; and then they would just have to hope for a loss by ATKM, forcing a 3-way tie for the 4th seed, and hope they can win on points allowed.
7. Tennessee. A valiant effort vs Humboldt fell just short, but a win against the Fiesta will put you guys right back in the thick of things, very much in control of your own destiny with the wk 16 matchup vs atkm. A loss against the fiesta means you might have to beat ATKM just to stay in the playoffs!
8. Chico. The loss by DC and taking care of business with Mendoza gives you temporary ownership of the #8 spot! That will come to a quick end with Nashville on the horizon, but the week 16 vs DC promises big playoff potential! Getting the win there, is essential for Chico, who doesn't have the tiebreakers to win an 8-8 multi-way tie.
9. DC. It's looking rough for DC, but they play so many teams close that you can't count them out of the ATKM game. Winning out is the only way to 100% guarantee a playoff spot! A loss to ATKM won't shut the door, but it will make the week 16 matchup vs Chico a must-win, and you'll need help beyond that.
10. Philly. Playoff look has not changed, a nice easy win over bedlam has them still looking at 8-8 barring a miracle win vs the Mice or a devastating loss to Detroit. And you've still got to hope that Tennessee loses out, otherwise you lose the 8-8 tiebreaker based on head-to-head..

Paris pulled themselves out of the #15 spot with a big win over ACA, making an extremely interesting situation where it's entirely possible we could see a FIVE-WAY tie at 4-12 if Mendoza beats ACA, ACA beats Pittsburgh, and Detroit beats Paris...all of which could certainly happen. Will anyone pull away and get truly safe? You don't see 4-12 teams relegated very often, and you certainly don't ever see five-way ties. Crazy stuff!
