ever consider saying politely "sorry, I don't think it's wise to give tips to league opponents"? That goes over better, and is a much better way to treat new players.

A joke is fine, I think he said what he did because you seem to have wise ass negative remarks for everyone. When I just started in this league and with this game, I asked a similar question and got a similar ubsurd response from you.

Just saying, you should be more polite to new players....just because you're a vet doesn't mean the new guys will get than and understand your humor.
