My player has a 5% catch piece. what should his other 2-3 pieces be? He is going to be a extreme speed reciever.

probably another catch % piece (likely a 2% piece since those are cheap to make), and then probably 2 SA pieces. or, if you want fakes in your build, probably 1 fake % piece and an SA piece, or 2 fake % pieces.

For and extreme speed build you want 2 x Catch% and 1x First Step.
The 4th piece might be fake% or Quick Cut or Route Run, possibly Juke or Sticky Hands.

Not really worth the bts to put iit together unless you find one while shopping. 100 bts for +3 speed +1 catch in stride, might be able to pull it off depending on how many bts you plan on getting with your build plan. Id say route running would be a good pickup to get it over 10 easily.

The three 'mandatory' ones would be
2x Catch Ball%
First Step
After that, Run Route, Quick Cut, or Fake% are all options depending on build. I usually prefer Run Route.

If you really want high catch in stride work it into your build using sps to max it. Realistically you only need first step at 3 or 4 with +7 at 72, so use the sp that would have gone towards that on cis.

why is first step mandatory? It is first on the SA tree and rather easy to upgrade... unless you intend to have it above 10... or maybe you only invest in FS and QC for speedsters... I don't know, never built a speedster WR.

A lot of projected 160 speed builds I've seen are neglecting everything past quick cut and just trying to max fs, qc and rr...2x catch ball is a no brainer at this point, and most of these builds call for maxing 1 of those sas and aeq in the other two...Personally I'm going to go aeq in qc and rr so that I don't have to put as much in fs...If you put the aeq in fs and use sp on qc, you have to put at least 5 in fs to be able to get 9+1 in qc, whereas if you do it in qc you'll still need to invest enough for 9 in fs, but you only have to hit lvl 3 to get qc to 10...Maybe the couple sps won't make a difference, maybe it will, maybe I'm just crazy ^_^
