For those of you oldtimers who remember Mike, after a long hiatus he had to take from GLB I had a PM from him today, and he asked me to pass on the following message:

"Thank you to all in the GLB community who sent thoughts, and well wishes to me while I was in hospital, your messages were passed on by my family and it made a real difference.
I am still suffering from some vision loss, poor mobility on my left side, and headaches when looking at the screen for too long, so whilst I will try to get in touch with you all, please bear with me."

And on a personal note, although I had heard that he was alive and recovering some while ago it is great to hear from him personally again. It's still a shame what he had and has to endure, but at least he seems to slowly be on the mend, as far as that is possible.

It is good to hear from him.

wow crazy hes still having such bad problems but good to hear from him. Sad to see something so bad happen to such a good guy.

I don't play GLB anymore but log on every few months to check on how the place looks and just noticed this.

Really happy to hear Mike is ok. It was very worrying when nothing was heard from him (or his brother, who would sometimes give updates) for months and months, especially after hearing about the seizures he was having.

Mike, if you read this, I hope things continue to get better for you mate. I had some good times on here with you and everyone else on the Monarchs team back in the early days (crazy this place has been going for 2 and a half years now!)
