Canute led his team in tackles in his first three season playing as a backup. After moving to a new team he again led the team in tackles as a backup to the ROLB in his first year. Last season, despite missing two games entirely, Canute fished third in tackles while playing all the linebacker positions as well as safety and cornerback.
Both teams that Stills played on opted to downgrade, so once again a prime linebacker is available.
Canute is looking for a starting position at LOLB, but is willing to negotiate. The same is true for the financial side of the coin.
He is also willing to play special teams and will boost once at the start of the season.
