ok all you have to do is predict who wins and by how much. Then based on those predictions you bet however much you want on anygame.

alright, this is based on his example: tecmo -17.5 v. bearphins

the "-17.5" means that tecmo is favored to win by 17.5 points.

you have 3 ways to bet this, each with a % of winning and that also determines how much you get if you win.

the 3 ways you could bet:

1 - tecmo wins with the "over" or "covers"- means that tecmo wins by at least 17.5 points (18 in reality, since there is no half point)

2 - tecmo wins with the "under" or does not "cover" - means tecmo wins, but by less than 17.5 (16 or less in reality, again becaus eno half points)

3 - bearphins win "out-right" - means bearphins wins, and the over/under doesnt matter

now, as far as winnings go, they are usually close to the same for bets type 1 and 2, but 3 is usually a little better winnings.

to keep it simple, lets just say that bet types 1 and 2 are a 1-to-1 ratio, meaning that for every dollar (or chip) you bet, you get 1 back (along with your bet), and for bet type 3 there is a 1-to-2 ratio, meaning that for every dollar (or chip) you bet, you get 2 back (along with your bet)(the winnings ratios are usually a lot mroe in depth and confusing)

alright, so based on all this, this is how it works:

- my bet #1: (this is what i would post for my bet)
- "tecmo covers, 20" or "tecmo over, 20" - means i take tecmo winning with the "over" or "covers" and i bet 20 dollars/chips
- if tecmo wins by 18+, i win. if tecmo wins by 17- or they lose, i lose.
- my winnings (only if tecmo wins by 18 or more): 40 (original 20 that i made the bet with, plus 20 from the win)
- if i lose, im out 20 dollars/chips

- my bet #2:
- "tecmo under, 20" or "tecmo no cover, 20" - means you take tecmo to win, but by less than 17.5 points, and you bet 20 dolars/chips.
- if tecmo wins but by less than 17.5, i win. if they win by more than 17.5, or if they lose, i lose.
- my winnings (only if tecmo wins by less than 17.5): 40 (original 20 that i made the bet with, plus 20 from the win)
- if i lose, im out 20 dollars/chips

- my bet #3:
- "bearphins win out-right, 20" - means you take bearphins to win and the over/under (-17.5) doesnt matter, and you bet 20 dolars/chips.

Those are spreads not over/unders. Over/unders are when people bet on how many points will be scored total in the game. Like say the over under is 50 if one team scores 35 and the other gets 20 then you would win if you took the over because the combined score is over 50. Spreads are just when you say I think ______ will win by more then _____ points.

you're talking about over under for the game, i am talking over under on the winning score (called by some a spread, as you pointed out)

still, what i posted holds true as far as the betting scheme and how it works. i was trying to stay simple.
