Unfortunately, our regular season W against you guys didn't mean a whole lot last season once we met in the playoffs

It is interesting to see the effect on SOS on the rankings, with the top being
middle of the road, the middle below average, and the bottom tier the highest.

Without researching further, which would just be geeky, it looks like the weaker
teams have pretty much been hammered, the upper teams have not played their
toughest games, and the middle tier teams are in for a tough stretch of games
to get into the playoffs.

you need to remember something though. when BSS plays Scorpion Phalanx, Scorpion gets a huge boos in SoS while BSS gets a big boot in it. Naturally teams at the bottom are going to end up with a higher SoS then teams at the top because of this.

That was sort of my point - many of those teams near the bottom have probably played most of the tougher competition already, while teams like Odessa, Warsaw, Portland, Crimea, and Holland should have their toughest games ahead of them.

Here's the problem. The Hood is goddam good, everyone else looks weak by comparison. Therefore the MF'n Hood drives its own strength of schedule right into the terlit.
