Flip a coin, really. #2 is the better ROT, #1 is the Better LOT. But i would be extremely happy if I had to choose just one. I would flip a coin and be done with it.

All I have to do is look at the strength to tell. I like my OTs to have a minimum of 120 strength by level 56. If they have 120 before level 56 I wonder if they might be lacking in some other attribute.

#2 easily . . . will be hugely better long-term because of better build efficiency.

I agree with you on this.... by level 56, OTs need to be at a minimum of 120 strength and 80 blocking. Anything more than that means the OT lacks on some other attribute.

The first one's gear isn't shown anywhere... although I find it hard to imagine that 98 STR is all natural.

What on earth does this mean?

OTs need to be at a minimum of 120/80 at level 56? And if they have more than that they are lacking elsewhere?

Needless to say I disagree strongly.

He was agreeing with my statement so I will explain it. If an OT has more than 120 strength at level 56 it means they spent a large portion of their early SP on strength and neglected blocking and agility. This means that the OT will have to spend more SP than usual on blocking and agility to reach the same levels that other OTs have.

The point is that pumping strength to an extreme level early on is not the best choice. I know 80% of GLB will say otherwise but you can have an OT with 135 to 140 strength at level 72 if you stop spending SP on strength around level 10 or 11. This gives you plenty of time to address blocking early and take advantage of the early ALGs.

If you follow this plan you can actually address speed, confidence, stamina and SAs later in the build. Vision is questionable but it can be addressed also depending on how you feel about it. Basically if you are still pumping SP into strength at level 15 you are going to find yourself wishing you had more SP to spend at the end of your build. imo

I am the odd ball but I like #1 because of his VIS. He will see who to block faster and his 2 first Step he will get there quicker. I believe most DE are built for Speed anyway so STR IMO doesn't seem to be as important to reach the 120. Again just IMO and I don't view my self as an expert of build strategies.
