People put too much thought into YAC when they should be focusing on making the catch. Get Speed to 110 and Catching to 90 if you want a balanced WR.

If you want to get YAC after that, then get Strength and Carrying up to 60 but not at the detriment of others attributes.

Absolutely not. If you want a balanced WR, focus on getting the most bang for your buck. Get speed and agility to 74 straight away, then catching/viison, then stamina/jumping. Don't neglect confidence or carry, those should be up their. And spread your SA points around evenly. They work, believe it or not.

Choose power WR archetype so you dont get a detriment to either SA tree and invest a tone into route run, it will help with any speed/agility loss during the route.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1425095 - I would consider him pretty balanced

Sid 6.8 (Lv. 59 WR)
Ht/Wt: 6'1", 186lbs

Attributes
Physical Attributes
Strength: 79.55 (+11)
Speed: 112.32 (+33)
Agility: 79.77
Jumping: 53.22
Stamina: 42.32
Vision: 45.77
Confidence: 32.01

Football Skills
Blocking: 27
Catching: 66.77
Tackling: 8
Throwing: 9
Carrying: 63.46
Kicking: 8
Punting: 8

Special Abilities
Possession Receiver Abilities
Route Running: 5
Sticky Hands: 2
Jumping Catch: 0
Diving Catch: 0
One Handed Catch: 0

Speedster Abilities
First Step: 8
Quick Cut: 3
Head Fake: 1
Spin: 1
Juke: 1

Additional Abilities
Stiff Arm: 0

Veteran Abilities
Mr. Reliable: 15
Slippery: 12
YAC attack: 15

However, he has been playing in leagues above his level the last 3 seasons, so stats aren't very good, and I'm not sure how he would have done against even competition. Plus the build isn't rounded out, so won't be able to get a good gauge on how the build really works until next season when he hits level 64.

Still this and the info from others should help because i wanna give WR another try since my best one retired with only 20 yards under 10k receiving. Thanks all of you i will jot all this down and save it.

I'd switch the EQ from str to catching in that one, catching should be well in the 70's for a balanced build imo.

Pointflation may have pushed this up a cap. I stand by the rule of 68, you just need to compensate with four +3 AEQ pieces in speed and or agility.
