Depends on the build, scheme, etc. So the answer is a conditional "yes," but usually there are better choices for a corner.

this
if you are on purpose trying to create an INT machine, than i can be good, but when then, you have to build your CB a certain way.

no jumping catch sucks for a corner. You need to get other things besides jump catch it's a waste of time.

other things like what?

you can get JC on a corner and not tottaly jeopradize his build. my lvl 4 CB should have JC at 10, with the rest of his attributes in the area of 125 speed, 95 agility, 84 vision, 75+ jumping, 70+ catching, 61 strength, ~48 tackling, 50+ stamina, 50+ confidence with his trees looking like 9-9-9-1-8/3-6-0-0-0 and then of course 8 JC.

unless you want those attributes even higher? i can see speed maybe being higher, and i might do that and maybe take a few things down to make up for that, but i dont see any glaring weaknesses in that build.

I'm not even going to waste my time arguing about Jump catch for a corner. That's insane to even suggest jump catch is even remotely good for a corner. There are other things to get for a corner.

well for most CBs i would argue that it doesnt even matter what you choose for an extra SA because you probably wont use or need it.

for an INT based CB, anything that can boost you chances of getting an INT is helpful. and since im fairly certain that just about every INT you will get in this game is while your dot is jumping, i think that jumping catch -in theory- would be a good choice. i agree that there are other things you can get that would be better for other CBs, but for one whose main focus is tyring to get INTs, i dont see much else that you would choose over that.

ummm.. it's always better to get pieces vital to the tree first, so they will ultimately be higher. Having 4 pieces off tree with 4-6 in them is not as good as having 4 pieces, on tree, making them 10 without using so many sp's. And yes, those 4 s.a's are vital to a corner backs who wants to be excellent. Also, it's good to have a shutdown coverage piece so you can get it to 10 and save the s.p. since it's at the end of the tree, that's 5 now. Where does loser ass jump catch come in?

im not getting any off tree AEQ pieces. im going for an SDC piece, an avoid fake piece, and either 2 INT pieces or an INT and a deflect ball piece (which are more valuable then in tree SAs because no matter how much SP you spend, you cant get these). 'fucking loser ass jumping catch' comes from my extra SA.

and with AEQ and custom, i will be looking at 9-9-9-2-9/3-6-0-0-0, and with the bonus to SDC for being a man spec CB, that should bring SDC to just over 10. so i dont think i need any more SDC, SH, SV or SB.

CD is great. i love CD, and if i can bring it higher i will, but i do not like FS. i dont see what it could really do for a CB aside from being in zone. CBs dont ever really slow down enough for FS to fire, and im not sure it would fire at the beginning of the play unless you go into the DPC, play your CB right on the LOS and the opposing WR's FS fires... in which case you have to hope your FS also fires. imo, FS is just a necessary evil in order to get CD up.
