I have an OLB that is used mostly in coverage. Ball Hawk and Sure Tackler are maxed. I'm now looking for a 3rd VA to assign built up points to. Everything I read in the forums preach David vs Goliath. However my player is pretty big at 6'4" and 247 lbs. I'm also 9 point short in Tackling to assign DvG.

Should I wait to reach the mark in Tackling for DvG or is there another option recommended?

I fully endorse Clutch, but attribute VAs at 0,5% a clip are cheap. Another good one comes to mind, Long Reach seems excellent for a coverage guy.

3rd down Stopper?

Either football genius or DvG. Eventually, both of them, and lose sure tackler.

The thing about being a "Coverage" LB is that LBs have to do everything regardless of specialty, so I tend to avoid the VAs that only help in the passing game when over half the plays are runs in most games. FG helps in the passing game as well as passing checks against the run, likewise with clutch.

The only coverage VA I would put on an LB is Ball Hawk and that's just because it's so damn powerful.

Yeah lose the sure tackler and go with either 3DS, clutch, or FG
