In order to make the game more realistic, you shouldn;t have players bottoming their contracts out. Its good to have a mix of people who care about the cash and those who don't.

Me, I wanna make sure I have some if suddenly there becomes a purpose for it.

meh i got no problem making sure the team has more cash than me at the moment - more seats in the stadium means more long term cash which means they can give me more when the virtual whatevers come out

im going to buy myself a virtual pony and hire a virtual whore to do virtual things...
