This is my first player, a SS L48/E49 right now who I wanted to be more of a pass coverage/special teams guy who could be dominant late in his career. I made plenty of mistakes getting going, but have tried to recover. He's got 5 SPs to spend right now and has around 3-4games to go before he levels up again.

I'd be interested in your views about how he looks, and where he ought to go. I pushed his vision, and at this point I'm mainly wondering if I ought to start investing in CD for spec abilities, or hang back and maybe take tackling (jumping?) to the next cap before SAs.

What do you think?

Strength and Tackling to 62

Then get Stamina upto 48 and confidence between 30-48 closer to 48 IMO

After strength and tackling, I'd switch/combo the training for stamina and jumping. I like jumping at around 60

Jumping to 68 should be your first order of business. Train stamina until it's ~40 or until you've third capped jumping and have saved enough points to first cap stamina, whichever comes first (regardless, take stamina to 50 eventually). At that point train confidence, and work on SAs and/or strength.
Even if it is late in your career, the four majors for your archetype are speed, agility, vision, and jumping. Those four attributes should be your highest. They will also help you the most in passing plays.
If you're used mostly in man-to-man or at least zone primarily in pass plays, which I'm assuming, jumping and stamina will be your most beneficial additions. After you're done filling out football genius VA, move on to third down stopper for the bonus to deflections.

If you're used in a more "versatile" role (in other words, used against both play types without any distinguishing) then you'll want to do strength before SAs. Tackling still won't be as valuable to you since the focus in your build is already pass plays and you should play to your strengths. Strength helps you gain position for deflections and interceptions, while also aiding your tackling score and helping you knock balls loose after the catch. Tackling does the last two, but not the first, which is key, so it isn't as valuable to a man specialist secondary.

TL;DR: Jumping to 68, train stamina and take it to first cap, train confidence, then either third cap strength or work on SAs, then do the other one.
