For what it's worth, Oscar Balbuena had 65 speed. With the current sim, I just don't think putting EQ in speed is worth the opportunity cost in agility/strength. I would want around 85-90 natural speed on DEs and around 75-80 on DTs, but I don't think 100+ is worth it these days.

i would agree 100% with SM...i don't see the point of pushing speed that high unless you're gonna go well over 100 for DEs and I really don't see the point for DTs...i think you're too much of a liability elsewhere if you do that. I'm sure there are successful situations, but I really tend to think that the better dots for a team-scheme are gonna focus on strength, agility, then speed for both positions (when just considering those 3 attributes)

I am not giving advice on what works best, or more importantly on what will work best multiple season's down the road, but I wanted to interject this.

Instead of having him move EQ from Strength to Agility or Speed it would be better value for him to adjust his build plan to stop putting points into strength a cap or a cap and a half earlier. For him to get strength to 104 Natural I am assuming he is taking Strength to 83+. If he stopped at 80 and took those points he could use the 21 SP's ( 3 Ability Points x 7 SP's per) he could pump Speed up from 68 where I assume he stopped putting points in to 73 for a total of 20 SP's. He's dropping 3 Ability points in Strength and gaining 5 speed. If he moves around EQ he is loosing 13 points in Strength and gaining 13 in Speed.

Basically the only point I am trying to make is that I have never understood build plans that are follow this basic plan:

Take Attribute 1 to 83+
Take Attribute 2 to 73

Split EQ between Attribute 1 and Attribute 2.

If people disagree or see flaw's in what I see feel free to let me know I enjoy being proven foolish.

If you are splitting equipment, it doesn't make sense. However, if you want one attribute extremely high and are putting all equipment into that attribute it does.

Edit:

Personally I like to go 81, 81, 81.

After having taken a 60 day break, I return to find that two things are still true:

1) Speed over 68 is a very poor value for DTs *unless* you have 10 FS and 15 JTS
2) There is no such thing as too much agility, but there *is* such a thing as too little strength.
