I'm sure there are teams out there that only use 1 QB, is it an ok move if he is surrounded by a good run game?

It's no problem if its a high leveled QB due to higher stamina and confidence, but having two QB's is recommended. Having two will better absorb morale and stamina loss, since detriments will be shared between two QB's as opposed to just one.

Having two QB's also offers a benefit to "Slow Starter." The maxed "Slow Starter" QB can be forced in on all run plays in the 1st quarter, then go pass exclusive the 3rd-4th quarters. Meanwhile, the other QB goes pass exclusive the 1st Q-2nd Q's and then run exclusive the 3rd-4th Q's. This way you bypass the VA's -5% penalty while still gaining its full benefits in the second half. It's a bitch to work into the A.I., but if the OC has the patience, it works.

If I'm not going Slow Starter, another trick I did in PRIOR seasons is have one old Field Gen Mentor QB who doesn't bitch about play counts and stats. He gets fielded on most run plays while the other QB is pass exclusive. Unfortunately, Mentor is being removed next season, so better to find a young Field Gen expert instead - bonus if he doesn't bitch about play counts and stats, but good luck finding one =D.

The market for QB's is huge. Just get a 2nd QB. No big deal. A mediocre one is fine. Try to sneak him into the majority of run plays to blunt any stamina loss to your main/better QB. Just make sure both QB's are passers. If you get a rushing QB, that's asking for trouble because the DC may tag him, so when you field him on the run, you'll make it harder on yourself.

That is no problem at all, we tend to sub in the back-up HB or FB on certain run plays to keep him fresh. Varies game to game but it keeps him fresh.

Now his stamina is close to first cap through training so it doesn't really matter that much.

You can manage but why take the risk, take in an mediocre or underleveled player and give him 20 snaps a game to blunt your morale confidence losses.
