We are looking for guys who want to build a winner.. a non-boosting team, but ideally you would purchase custom equipment...
Here is the roster so far, according to people who would like to go back to level 1 DOTs with us. If there are issues with this, please let me know. Our offensive and defensive philosophies for right now will dictate our roster. These philosophies may change as the SIM changes and our needs and observations change as well. As always, we will give advice (as others here will) as to your build, but your build is your choice. However, do not be offended if we move on, without your guys if they no longer fit our scheme.
Offensively, we will be a 60/40 offense. Our team will have mostly two guys at each position, with the starter getting 60% of the offensive snaps compared to 40% for the backup. We will have three HBs who will run the ball. Our FBs will block and be used out of the backfield to catch passes. Our TEs will be blockers first, and catchers second. Our line will be primarily run blocking, but our OTs will need to protect against the pass too. I like to pound the ball in the middle, a few runs on the outside to keep defenses honest, and pass to keep teams from loading up 8 or 9 in the box.
Defensively we will stop the pass with our front 7. Ideally, we will be using our safeties in specific blitz and run control packages, but used to help with covering the WRs. It is pivotal for our front 7 to stop the run, otherwise we need to commit our safeties and that causes some secondary issues.
