I think between MEM, Austin, and Chicago the west will be tough to get out of. I think those are the 3best teams and whoever gets the 1seed will only have to win 1 against those teams.

The east i think Nashville is the definite favorite though with the right gameplan ATKM can pull the upset. I think GHM and Mentone are good as well but a slight tier below.

That being said my favorites to win the title in order would be:

1- Nashville
2- Chicago
3- MEM
4- ATKM
5- Mentone
6- GHM
7- AWFB

Not a chance of a team outside of that 7 winning the title really.

Mentone's come a long way to be placed on a list like that

Isn't that what Championship caliber teams do? Dig in deep and pull out a win out of our collective asses. A "W" is a "W" and it looks mighty nice on our team page. And, it's not pink.

It definitely is. We need to learn how to play all 4 quarters. In our 2 losses, we were outscored 27-6 in the 4th quarter. That's not going to win any league titles (except maybe OPL).

Tomorrow will be a great baseline on where we stand with Nashville, they're a tier up from us currently. I don't think it'll be as close as predicted in the mathdude thread. . . We may run a scrub gameplan since it's likely that we're going to have to turn around and play them in a tourney scrim.

Yea, that's one of the problems about prediction now. Back in season 1-11 of GLB, you actually had to try in the regular season in USAPL. Even good teams could miss the playoffs if they were maybe out of town a bit and people scouted them well. Remember Lincoln missing the playoffs that season despite being really great in tourneys? There used to be 10-12 good teams every season. Now most the playoffs are kinda figured out before the season started. Maybe the last spot is up for grabs but there is no prayer of ATKM or Nashville losing to south Otto or something. Now teams just hide tactics in the regular season and the good teams do it in round 1 of the playoffs (sometimes even round 2 like last season when MM and alpine did).

It's part of the reason i'm less interested in GLB the past few seasons. Kinda boring just killing time till the playoffs because the difference between the good and bad teams is so drastic because of guts, super old teams, or super young teams, etc... Oh well. Maybe the future will hold better things

We had a situation last season in APL Elephant: 7 teams had a legit shot at the title. To further illustrate, the 6th place team eventually won it. That was a blast for all teams involved! Funnest season I've been a part of. Some of the Elite Minor Leagues are similar. The competitiveness just makes for a more enjoyable experience all the way around.

Nicely done Chrono!![
