Anything catch your eye?
sounds like certain plays will regain an advantage and teams will have to adjust their defenses to compensate

I think passing will become a little less effective...

Catching balls without decent catching skill is going to be a bit harder now, as well. You have to pass some catching checks to get bonuses from pass quality and a few other things now. Also increased the chance of larger effect on ball when bobbling. The number of balls that are bobbled into the air and then caught is actually pretty high, so making the bobble have a larger chance to move away from the player makes catching harder.

Seems like zone is TOO slow to react now, especially now that we've added another anti-zone special ability. Bumped up reaction chance a bit more. Need a test vs zone to see if you think it needs more bump or not.
More missed tackles...

Catch was thinking we needed to up the effect of the tackling skill in the tackle roll, so I've done that for tackles from the front, while reducing strength value.
Also, tacklers have a large advantage in rolls in general, with far less randomness in their rolls than the avoid tackle chance. I've made their roll a bit more random, so it will be more important to get a higher score going for you. Not a ton, but enough to notice, so it will need some tests run to make sure we don't have 9000 missed tackles per game.
Might this allow a safety on the outside to cut under the WR on a outside run and thus be better at stopping that run?

Took some new code from the new plays I added and applied it to all run plays. WRs should head into blocking after running a short 2 yd route.
Or could this mean a quick reacting CB might get past the WR before they even start to block? Either way, sound like outside runs will be harder.

Gamecocks are a shoe-in to win gold if this happens.

I love the fact that these changes always get posted around day 47+. Long after most everyone has made their players.
They should really announce these things during the playoffs so that people can plan their next season builds/changes effectively.
Particularly rough this season, since many people have just chosen their archetypes.

LOL. I'd agree Tombstone has the edge over FG in that battle...

1) I disagree, they spend a lot of time working on pee wee stuff
2) It's not just pee wees that made players on day 41. The vast majority of people make their dots on day 41 because that's the earliest you can make a long-term dot and still boost your last off-season and avoid decline in the last season's playoffs.
3) It's not just new players that are affected. Lots of people chose their archetypes for their older players days before they announced these changes.
But don't get me wrong, I'm not hatin on GLB. It's a great game in many ways.

I think the change to the blocking schemes will be huge......if fb's will ignore blitzing lbs once they're past the play and head downfield toward SS's.......

Seems like throughout the updates, there's a few keys:
- Passing is going to require higher catching and better QB passes (Maybe less of the dual-threat QBs)
- Outside Rushes are going to be better because of new blocking schemes.
- Zone D is getting bumped up largely.
- Man Coverage isn't overpowering anymore.
