Okay, so I get that SV isn't ideal by any stretch for a DE, but what I want clarity on is: Does it work AT ALL?

My reason: I have a comparatively low level DE (22) and I don't want to waste too much time training for shopping tokens. Really, I just need something semi-relevant to be a 'BT Shelter' for later in the player's career. Also, this DE will be playing special teams a bunch which *I think* will activate SV.

So I rolled Superior Vision +1 AGI and am thinking of just going for it. Is that a good idea or should I keep rolling...?

It would help avoid fakes on outside runs. Should help on screen plays too if he's an LDE. Not a keeper IMO but it will serve fine as a place to store BTs.

I agree with wlarson.... Keep it for now to serve as a place to store bonus tokens.
Before you roll for an AE, make sure you've decided which path you want to take your DE.
Is he going to be a pass rush DE or a run stuffing DE or a combo DE?

I don't recommend SV for d line period...Aura is good for it, wall, line general etc.

I disagree, but to each their own.

It's best for DEs to quickly identify run or pass plays, fake or running outside. It's really good if your DE is already solid all around.

Theoretically it's nice... but D-line have been proven to do pretty well throughout their careers with lack luster vision.

Not really sure what you mean by "pretty well", one needs a decent amount of visions to produce adequate numbers. I already did a test: a new DE and spent all the initial bonus points in vision while str, spd, vis are all low. The DE is producing solid numbers all better than my previous DEs that keep the vision low but only adding to str, spd, and agi.
