EDIT: That is assuming SDC and SV actually do what they say they do.
. . . Though a dot doesn't need PD % to deflect passes, in the top levels of the game it is necessary to have the best chance to deflect the most number of passes. % AEQ give is a bonus to your PD score after all other inputs are calculated. Basically you take vision and jumping (and strength when fighting the WR) plus a flat bonus from SB and SDC to determine your base PD score. After you get that score, you apply PD % AEQ. So assume you get a base score of 50, 20 % to your PD score from AEQ would give you a score of 60--a very nice bonus and more than you would get from another point of SB or SDC. To have an elite CB, the goal should be to have SV, SDC, and SB (through AEQ or otherwise) at 10, 13, and 11 respectively, plus % PD AEQ. That in addition to the proper physical attributes will give you the highest PD score in addition to the best bonuses to speed/agility and prevent fake that is needed.
