I'm a speedy reciever but I have 2 pieces of equipment giving me +3 jumping catch each and I had a skill point in it giving me +7.
Is that any helpful?

I think it just helps you catch balls that you have to jump to catch.
I'm sure the bonus is decent since it wouldn't occur on every catch attempt, but you'll probably not see it occur all that often so it's debatable whether it'll really help you to have it or not.

It is decent.... jumping higher to catch the ball from the defenders is a good thing...
