Thinking on which extra SA Im going to take for my WR. Thinking of catch in stride, lower the shoulder or power through?

For power through it says it can be better than lower the shoulder for breaking tackles but relay on strength and size to do it any idea on how far i need to go with strength to make power through a better choice than lower the shoulder?

I'd bet much stronger than a WR should be. I see it being most effective on only 100+ strength power backs :o use you eq bonuses elsewhere is what I say :| I'd get catch in stride, it'd come in more handy than some break tackle technique. now if you were a TE I'd tend to go for the break tackle, but a WR is made to be wide out :o

IMO a 50 str should be more than good enough to get away from DBs and all but the slowest/ strongest safetys. Special techniques are unneeded here. JMO

actually most CBs today are running with at least 50 strength. some are around 60, and then soft-capped tackling. so you arent gonna do anything with 50 strength... at least with current mid/high level WRs. with archetypes and only the HH getting ALGs on strength, you are going to need a lot less strength than attempts at power WRs needed in the past, but the more the better. i would probably aim to have strength at least in the high 70s by the end of your career.

and the reason you see PT being only effective on power backs with 100 strength is because they are going up against LBs with high strength (or DvG) and good tackling. CBs wont have as much strength/tackling as LBs and a good amount of them wont have DvG either, so WRs wont need as much strength to counter.

Thanks for your answers. I should be able to get to the high 70:s with only 5 points or so from equipment.

To be honest I also think catch in stride sounds like the best choice but since I try to make a WR that breaks tackles in his late carreer. I think I will give power through a go
