Zone specialist/focus is and always has been a gamble. There's no guarantee that your DC will utilize your player in a way that takes advantage of the bonus from the VA/SA. I'd wager that most DCs have no idea how to even do that or ever attempt to do it.

However, if your DC does, then ZS/ZF is a great bonus to take advantage of.

i went zone because the team im on uses zone a lot. im still curious about how much of an effect it will have when the bonuses stop after spotting the ball release. it seems like a counter-intuitive bonus. the Zone guy gets a bonus to SV and general bonuses to vision, which in turn let you spot balls that much quicker, which then takes away the bonuses you get from Zone Focus once you spot it. i can understand the vision bonus going away because it already worked to spot something, but speed and/or agility bonuses shouldnt go away. i have to take Ball Hawk to let the bonuses continue after the ball is released.

Exactly. That's why Zone Focus will still kick ass if you have ball hawk!
