His stats have sucked this season despite reasonable success in the past. In particular, his interceptions have skyrocketed. Can anyone give me direction on his build as well as suggestions for tactics? I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks!
Ron

-100 style does nothing. I'm having the same issues.

More Tight Spiral would improve pass quality and could cut down on INTs. Does he have any +pass quality % AEQ on right now or is it all Field General? Tight Spiral combined with Pass Quality % AEQ is likely your best bet to keep the ball out of the hands of the defense.

If you don't want to do either of those, then taking strength to 73.25, vision to 77.3, and confidence to 68 between now and next season would probably be the next best course, aside from looking for some solid possession receivers to recruit this off season and getting the OC to call shorter pass plays that cater to their strengths.

His AEQ is currently in Pocket Presence and Field General, both having +5 currently. Would you recommend staying with those or trying to improve the AEQ?

Pass Quality/Tight Spiral is your best bet for fighting INTs, but Pocket Presence is also very useful if you are throwing most of them while being hurried.

Field General makes everyone a little better and with 11 in Field General and 15 Natural Leader, that bonus can slowly add up over the course of a game. The question is what does your WR and QB morale look like after close games or losses? If morale is still really low (and WRs especially seem prone to bad morale spirals) then odds are Field General isn't canceling out enough of the morale drain to make a huge difference.

Field General is going to be a lot more expensive to raise, it costs more per level to begin with and first you'd have to put points into Turn Shoulder. So if you really like both of those SAs, I'd probably sell Pocket Presence to buy a nice Pass Quality piece and then put points into Pocket Presence and Tight Spiral. You could get a piece with Tight Spiral instead, but then you'd miss out on any kind of % bonus and I think the key is stacking that bonus on top of Tight Spiral for maximum effect.

I'm not guaranteeing your QB will suddenly complete 70% of his passes and be amazing with those changes, I'm just saying if your primary goal is to prevent INTs then that is the way to go. My QB has struggled to complete a lot of passes, but in the last 31 regular season games he has thrown 399 passes and only 5 INTs.

He has 7 Tight Spiral and +31% Pass Quality by the way, but I'll have to trade out some of that Pass Quality for Tight Spiral with the changes next season.

In addition to the above build and PQ%/TS equipment suggestions, I'd look at moving some EQ from throwing to vision. I'd go as far as splitting his eq evenly between the two, giving you 98/95 throw/vis.
