I've been following the standard build guide for punters according to the GLB wiki and last season came in 2nd in punting average, certifying that everything was going well. Based upon progression, I was hoping to see my Punter average around 30 yards per punt this season.

Hlafway through the season now, he is only averaging 25.4 ypa, a whole yard below last year's numbers. He occasionally shows his true form and hits a long 35-40 yarder but that will be followed by a string of 18-20 yarders then. According to the build and some folks, strength is overrated and should be worked on later but I'm beginning to wonder if my lack of strength is the issue.

As a comparison, here is the punter I faced up against in the last game and myself's profiles. While I can't see his exact stats, I appear to be the superior punter yet he's the one averaging nearly 31 yards per attempt.

Help/Suggestions? PM me if you feel you need to know exact stats to give a better explanation.

If you're following the cookie cutter build plan, don't expect to really start booming punts until you start getting your strength up.

I would guess 17 punts has a lot to do with it too. Was your energy spent at the end of the game. Were the decent punts the early ones?

If your team is punting that much commonly, you might want to get stamina up to 30ish.
