Way to drag the thread off topic. Clearly this is for a highly important, multiple page-spanning internet argument (read as name calling and baseless questioning of sexual orientation) over a 75x75 pixel image of woman's clothed butt, because pictures of female anatomy are exceedingly rare on the internet these days. Now we'll never know for sure who has the biggest penis or the wittiest one-liners to prove it.
But since you brought it up... Quick release shortens the QB throwing motion to get the ball out sooner, decreasing the amount of time defenders have to read pass and thus very slightly reducing the amount of time they have to react (and to exploit the f'ing HUGE bonus from Ball Hawk). It doesn't affect the throw's velocity, just the QB throwing mechanic. There's not really much mystery.
edit - For example if it normally takes your QB 5 ticks from the time he makes his decision and starts the throwing motion until the ball leaves his hand, Quick Release might make that 3 ticks.
