The Theory:

So, I've customized the QB sneak play by using substituting the QB in the play with a FB. I adjusted the output play in the AI so that QB2 would be the QB for the play then I added the FB to the QB2 custom slot in the depth chart. I did not add the FB to the regular QB depth chart (basically so the FB doesn't share playing time with the true QB on non 4th down plays).

I thought it might be helpful to utilize since a FB is much better built and designed to dive forward for a few yards than a QB. Also since he's not passing the ball, i don't expect that there would be any out of position penalty. However, even if there is I think the better build and attributes would greatly make up for any oop penalty.

The results:

I was playing a team that was +9 over us in the overall matchup bars. My team's rushing bar is 24 and their run defense bar is 39. The FB sneak play was run ten times on 4th and 3 yards to go or less. All ten times I got a first down. Here are some of the replays:

4th & 1 results in 6 yard gain

4th & 0.5 results in 6 yard gain

4th & 3 results in 4.5 yard gain

as OC i've used this before with some success too. one advantage is that it is quick developing since you don't have the delay of a handoff, and it helps to have a FB with high agility so he can get moving forward quickly before the D can get penetration.

Would work better if your on field FB was your other HB (FB1). The FB doesn't get a block in because he's too slow, so put a faster player in there to get to the line.
