A few days ago I posted about AEQ. One of the points there was that a First Step piece isn't that useful unless I'm going to be picking First Step as my archetype next year, because 5 points in First Step isn't really enough to make it useful. I understood that.

Then I rolled +3 Speed, +1 Blitz.

It looks like a piece I want, but wouldn't the same logic for why First Step isn't useful also apply to the Blitz SA?

So I guess the question becomes, keep my +1 First Step SA (which has been built up to +5 Speed, +3 First Step), buy the +3 Speed +1 Blitz SA, or keep rolling?

And yes, my OLB does blitz a fair amount.

I don't believe the same logic applies. Blitz should activate on every play during which 5 players rush the passer. There is no roll to see if it's successful or not. That is not the case with first step, likelihood of it activating is based on the skill itself.

If you don't waste a whole lot of training points and bonus tokens, it's quite easy to take 3 different pieces of AEQ to level 64.
