Yuri the Axe was a perennial force in SEAPL, and he was 70 speed at best. Like I said, not necessarily an optimal build, but it is certainly viable.

Here he is on his way the the SEAPL gold, hitting a mighty 23.72 on the speed script

and I disagree with SYM and Steady Grip. Disagree alot.

Bruiser to 15 no doubt. SYM, how many running plays are you forced to break a tackle behind the line..10%, I'm not gonna dump 15 VA's into something that gives you an 80% bonus to another number on only 10% of all plays.

Bruiser to 15
Shed Weight to 15 (it works)
Then after you do this and get a reset

Bruiser to 15
move over to streaky 15
Shed Weight 15

then it's up to you. If you are a team players, maybe punishing runner...red zone freak...second wind...there are alot of options.

BTW, powerback last 3 seasons...3 MVP's, 8 golds and 1 silver, you should listen to BP on this.

SYM is of great importance, and arguably even more important for a slower powerback. 10% of the time doesn't sound like much, but powerbacks cannot afford TFLs. That's their whole deal...positive yardage every damn play.

you can't think of SYM as part of the min/maxing of your build, it's really just a safeguard that every PB should have at least 5 points in. whether you want to take it to 15 if you plan on running more pitches/screens is totally up to you. i recommend 15 just so you aren't a one trick pony.

Yeah, I remember Yuri from back in the day when I was OC'ing a SEA Pro squad. Not a great powerback, but he was decent and was hella slow. Good call.

The game has changed though from seasons 1-9 really, before everybody caught up to the powerback thing. I don't think he'd be as effective now as he was back then...but I stand corrected.

I also know Cobra Kai has never won gold in almost 2 years of trying...so that makes 3 things.

This build is basically useless as a power runner TBBH.

My assumption is that you do not have any bonus tokens or AEQ, without such, this build is really not salvageable at this level.

About your only hope is to move all EQ to speed/agility and hope that it'll be enough to make you a serviceable HB. Without +% break tackle chance AEQ, you'll never break enough tackles, to make 70 speed and 60 agility adequate. Another option is to max red zone freak and goal line back and be a goal line option, but that's a pretty minor role.

You do not have enough SP remaining to take carrying to where it needs to be and also get agility to a respectable level. Plus, your stamina is way too low. If you could at least manage +30% or more break tackle chance thru AEQ, you would break a fair amount of tackles, enough to compensate for the lack in other areas. Alas, without the +% break tackle chance, you're pretty much useless in 95% of situations (relative to a decent HB anyways).

Just my two cents anyways.

so even though im level 59 and my effective level is 64 it still means my player is crap? the last time i did this i was told to go this direction thats y i was doing it. now that is apparently wrong? im averaging like 5 yards a carry so far this year. im on a team with a speed back so i just do straight power up the middle. is there really a problem with my guy if im just running straight ahead and running clock.

wait though, my 3 time MVP powerback HB is averaging 9.1 YPC and one TD every 10 touches in AA ball. Best part, he's not SSB and only level 43. You guys WISH you could build a player like that.

You two guys make a good couple, one guy who's never won anything and another who spikes the ball to make sure he doesn't. Nice.
