I was reading through the GLB HOF nominations when I ran across this:
"he's played through a hell of a lot of decline though. the only QB on the roster while over 500 days old for the latter portion of last season; i thought it was a mistake to keep him for all of last season, but he went 60% with 4200 yds 40 TDs 9 INTs last season before losing to a Top-2 team." And that's got me thinking....
Arrowhead is planning on retiring all of its players at the end of the season. I've got a QB there that won Season #12 SEAPL MVP and then turned around and won Season #13 Canada PL MVP, with an excellent chance of winning Canada's MVP again this season as the team won't go into decline until at least halfway through the season. And I'm wondering, if that old ass QB from the quote can put up that ratio of TDs to INTs, would there be a team out there next season that would be interested in my guy? I've got a little experiment in mind and would a need a team that's just about ready to peak, or has just peaked, come next season. And the experiment that I have in mind would in no way detract from going all out to win every game. I just think I have an idea how old turd QBs can extend their top flight performances into their decline. Anyway, if there's any interest, just let me know. I have no interest in anything outside of SEAPL so I'm not going to shop him around other than this.
This is the guy:
QB Melvin Sniffleberg, http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=646128
And when you look at his awards, keep in mind that he was splitting the QB job with SEAPL's own Lenny Montana for most of his career (who's always a top contender for MVP too).
