I say train to 31, because after that point training efficiency is lower than training at 48. Training trumps ALGs at this time.
i used to think the same way (at least for positions with terrible ALGs, like WR), but once i got my hands on the VPB and played around with it for a while, i found out that the cap building method actually works better for -all- positions. especially if you only want 2 AEQs and you token boost. even with 3 AEQs, you can token boost for a little bit, but since you need more BTs for the AEQ, you wont be able to boost as much, and so the effects are fairly minimal.... but all in all, cap building > training focused. the early training valus are nice (use them while you are pumping up your 2nd and 3rd attributes), but the ALG from 1-22 are far better than the training gains.

^it seems like it would make sense, but you seem to be forgetting that while you are still training your attribute, every level you you earn is still worth SPs, whether you are at the softcap or not. the sooner you hit that cap, the more those ALGs are going to be worth. even if you you do plan on taking it higher, why not let your ALGs help give you a head start? that means less SPs you will need to get to the next cap. the ALGs are your friend. use them.
