I had promised myself I wouldn't watch the super bowl for the first time since I was a kid if it was Colts/Vikings. To every Packer Fan from a Bear fan, Congrats on watching the Vikes get Favred. Its nice to know that everywhere he goes he throws a pick to finish the season. Mid to late '90s don't hurt so bad anymore.

that's precisely how I felt. No true bears fan could possibly root for favre.. ever

honestly i would have thought no true vikes fan could ever root for favre either, yet here i am sitting in minnesota, surrounded by favre fans... atleast they were favre fans up until yesterday.

I went through this scenario trying to find the equivalent for myself... and i don't think i could ever enjoy seeing john elway in a raider jersey

Ouch...Yeah we decided to pay the electricity bill and get dressed up for the occasion. Usually we are just wearing our wife beaters and stained underwear.

That saints game was great.

As for the "Favre Int"

he's thrown them 3 seaons in a row on either his last play, or it was an int that made their team lose.

go PACK GO

Pretty sure it wasn't his int that "made their team lose". It was part of the reason yes but it wasn't THE reason.

At that point it was. No matter what happened before, at that very moment when he made the decision to throw it, if he had just ran in the open field in front of him, and then burn the last time-out and kick the FG, it's a win. So, at that point, yes he threw the INT that lost it for his team. Like he has done several times before.

according to buck and aikman, longwell was the greatest field goal kicker in the history of the nfl, and hartley the worst. there was no way longwell could have missed.

Well, if you had to choose between the two, who would you choose? The new guy or the one who has been there many times before.
