Well assuming you put the initial 25 points into speed. Save the 15 until you can hit 48 speed (shouldn't take too long) Then spend all points putting them into speed until you've got at least 68 base speed. Go higher if you want.

Go much much higher than 68 if you want to be a true speedster. More like 77, or 81. Agility after that. You'll be fairly worthless till very late in your career though.

81 isn't high enough. WR speed gains are .33 a level and lower.

imo, depends if you're wanting the speed for before or after the catch

if you're doing speedster to create separation on routes, i'd keep spending SP until 85. you'll end up with 90+ natural eventually.

if you're just looking for enough speed that you dont get caught from behind after the catch, i would think 81 or 77 is fine because at that point all the zone specialist, SDC, ballhawk VAs turn off

either way, you'll want to use VA/AEQ to be a returner for the first half of your career if you dont want to be a liability on the roster

I stopped at 68, then getting agility to 68 and then taking speed to 74 at around lvl 22. While doing this I trained catching to 48 and then after all that will get vision to 48. Its working so far for me, getting good seperation against equal or slightly higher lvl CBs. I guess it might hurt when i get to around the lvl 40s, but thats also when players start to balance out anyways.
