Is there any advantage or disadvantage to creating a powerback, 5'11 220 pounds, initial 15 points into strength, next 15 points also into strength, and just train speed/agility/carrying while getting strength up to the 3rd cap? With all equipment in strength I don't imagine there would be very many non-linemen on the field with more strength through the early levels.

just dont overlook carrying. I think that is almost just as important as strength for power backs. I dunno, but by level 30 I would think that 77 cap strength and probably 68 cap carrying would be ideal. With EQ put into strength

Wait to put you skill points in until you can cap strength, otherwise it's a good plan and what everyone seems to use these days. Train strength and carrying until you have enough SP to cap strength and move onto training other areas then. Creating a balanced player at the lower levels will help him perform better right away but he won't make it very far as he'll lose out on the level gains and won't be able to compete.
