Agility, vision and confidence.. don't want your guy to drop one pass then go in the fettle position..

mainly blocking, but still would like him to be a good receiving threat to at TE. I play on a run heavy offense. I'm training my cof.

If you wwanna build a balanced TE I think you should somewhat rely on strenght to block. Some decent blocking, but mostly Strenght and strenght also helps you when catching the ball.

As a balanced guy I'd say agi is really important since it helps both catching and blocking and it mostly helps getting separation.

Strenght/Agi
Catching/Speed
Vision
Blocking

With high strenght blocking doesnt have to be that high so you can block decently. You'll mostly run block and mostly just need to engage the block to let the HB make his play or when you'll block on a blitz yoiu mostly have to contain it not hold a block for like 5 seconds and the LB usually isnt built to block anyway plus he is panckable since most LB have not strenght. Try anbd reach 25-30 as level goes on level 20 or so and you should be alright blocking wise. Improve it with times, but you dont need to be amazing at it as a TE.

Thank you for the advise.

After 2 games my TE has, 7 catches for 77 yards and 2 tds. Not bad for his 2 season.

That's pretty good. I think the best asset for a TE is to be a threat to break tackle DB's. They are usually week and when the LOLB isnt you usually get a huge hole in front of the SS to make the catch and that's where TE are really dangerous. If he breaks the SS he's pretty much all alone and before there's another guy that can come and hit him he already got some good yardage.

So the key to me for a TE is to be able to make the catch first and then have the strenght to be a threat for a break tackle. I dont want him to run all that fast, just enough to get some separation and to me agi is more linked to separation then speed is.

Also I'd say that you should focus mostly on the receiving skill tree like Run route to me it's an amazing SA especially if you doint rely on speed to create separation.

And as i said once you catch the ball it's not had to be stronger then the DB's.

Thank you once again. When I level up I was going to put 3 on strength and 2 on agil, but i do need to atleast bring my stam up to 30 even though at the end of the game i'm around 80-85 in energy. I wasn't going to start realy messing with my skill tree until I reach level 16. I feel my points could be best use on other areas for right now.

Actually, I noticed an improvement with the SA's of "route run" and "sticky hands" with a catching of about 25 and a vision of about 20 as I recall. Those 2 are pretty nice actually.

Also I tend to build stamina as I need it (I'm level 16 and back up a level 21), 30+ plays on "hard" intensity = 80 energy for me (with stamina in the low 20's). If you aren't starting, just train stamina and use the points for something more important. You can always boost later and dump 5 into it if you become a starter.
