is there a difference in the rate they help with broken tackles? I understand that if you're inclined to run straight at rather than around guys you're probably gonna break more tackles...but would a power/combo with high agility + speed be able to break tackles at a comparable or higher rate using slippery vs. bruiser?
It seems like it would help on a Spin back running on elusive, supposedly break tackle has something to do with spin. (warning, the previous statement is one that is hotly debated, controversy may ensue.)

I tried slippery last season with my power back. It was ok. Didn't see anything great.

thx that's pretty much what i'm looking for...would rather not waste a season experimenting if it is just average

Bruiser is better unless you want to break tackles >8 yards downfield. No contest. 50 power is still elusive enough to avoid plenty of tackles.

Yeah I personally prefer bruiser also

Bruiser is better for a HB since you probably won't have to break many tackles 8+ yards down field if you are fast enough.
Slippery is better if you are returning kicks, since there is no LOS on a KR.
