How important is vision to a DE? How much is enough vision for a DE?

pretty important...but not one of the top couple attributes. The answer for how much is enough depends on who you ask...the answers range from 50-70.

I had a pro who was very effective. He had 61, and I was happy with that.

My DE has 71 (including +2 AEQ) and he definately gets a better start off the snap than most DE's, though I also feel like it may be a bit excessive.

I feel like the 2nd cap is a good spot for vision.

True that. Get it up to 60 (especially if you're in the pro level), but anything more than that is diminishing returns.

It depends on your build. It is more important for stopping the run than for pass rushing.

50 is fine, 60 is pretty good, i haven't felt the need to go over 60 though on any of my DEs

Did Bort mess with vision checks at all the last two days? Out of the blue, my RDE (66 vis/10 JTS, no Streaky/Slow Starter) spent most of his last game coming off the snap on the 3rd tick, and usually slowly (100+ spd/agi, 16 First Step). Just a complete turn around from previous games, this season or last.

He went from passing the vision check on the first tick (Tick 2 on this snap awareness script) the overwhelming majority of the time to missing that tick consistently, with a large number of snaps where he missed the first two (Tick 2 and Tick 3) ticks. Just curious if this was something other people have found.
